TomTom Releases NEW RANGE of Car GPS

Tomtom, arguably the world leader in providing all ranges of GPS systems, have released four new models this month.
Two are entry-level systems ( the ONE 140 and the ONE 140S) and the other two are mid-level (the XL340 and the XL340S).
The difference between the two (and hence, the reason for the price discrepancy) is the presence of text-to-speech in the 140s (a feature that allows the GPS to correctly pronounce street names etc so that you receive better quality, less generic directions). Both entry-level models feature 3.5 inch screens.
The XL340 and the XL340S differ in much the same way and the aforementioned models (the 340S has text-to speech), but in this case the GPS systems sport 4.3 inch screens. Thus, the 340 is priced at $229.25 and the 340S at $249.95.
This newly released set of products come with a significant number of new features to make your GPS experience less stressful. Both models now have maps of Mexico (as a pose to just the US and Canada) and Advanced Lane Guidance to keep you on the correct side of the road.
A new “IQ Routes” system has also been formulated to decide the best route for you based on previous speed data and traffic volume. Developers claim that this system will get you where you’re going sooner in 35% of cases, so it may well be worth a look!
