Magellan GPS are known for being the first company in Australia to produce Global Positioning Systems, way back in 1988 when the technology was in it's infancy. Their 'Explorist hand held GPS units are very popular with hikers & outdoor enthusiasts.
With a reputation for good, well built and durable portable GPS devices, Magellan have gone from making personal handheld GPS units to In-Car devices. Whilst some may favour the other brands, Magellan clearly stand out from the crowd.
